Decorating for Fall

Happy October, dolls!

I don't think I'm alone in my love for the Fall season and everything that goes along with it. There's so much to love: the leaves changing colors, mums on the front porch, crisp air, the state fair, boots and scarves, Halloween and we all know my fellow millennial females love a good PSL (that's a Pumpkin Spice Latte for those who don't know).  As you're likely aware, at the BDH we take decorating for all holidays very seriously.  While I didn't end up putting up all of our Fall stuff (our surfaces were feeling a bit crowded), you can check out 80% of it in all its glittery, pumpkiny glory in the photos below.  As always, the 7 ft black Halloween tree is included!  If you're new to the blog and want to see what we've done to decorate for Fall in years past and are interested in a quick and easy DIY Fall mailbox swag tutorial, you should click here and here and here.

A Black, White, Gold and Glam Bridal Shower!

Hi dolls! We've been so caught up with the Parade of Homes, fall decorating, an amazing visit from Ross's family and business travel that I almost forgot to share these photos from a bridal shower we threw for one of my favorite people earlier this month. Lauren, my god-brother's fiancé, came into our lives a few years ago and instantly won over the entire family. She has the best sense of humor, a huge heart and best of all she couldn't be more perfect for my brother. I was over the moon when she asked me to be a bridesmaid, with my excitement quickly turning to sheer elation when I realized I would get to throw her a bridal shower. I asked what type of event she wanted and she gave me a beautiful black, white, gold Pinterest board filled with glitter, stripes, polka dots & bows. Sold! Did I also mention Lauren has amazing taste? She established that when she gave me the cutest ever gold and black bangle for my birthday shortly after they started dating (that I still wear almost daily).
