Swimming Pool Inspiration Pictures

It's no secret that hubby and I are pining for a pool behind the BDH. Many have asked when this illustrious pool will begin to take shape, and the best answer I can give is: "the earliest possible second we can afford it." Unfortunately, that second is unlikely to come for several years as pools are very expensive, but it doesn't hurt to dream, right?

UPDATE: As pool plans have progressed, more inspiration photos here

Here are some of the prettiest pool pictures I've been able to put my pointer on (alliteration intended). I'm sure our preferences and trends will change a thousand times between now and when we can actually afford one, but these all look pretty great to me today:

I love how the hot tub is connected to the pool, the beach area and the waterfall in this one:
This one is just so dynamic!
 LOVE the black bottom!
If we were on a lake or ocean, an infinity pool would be a must:
 Indoor/outdoor pool:
 Love this:
I think I might just love the back of this house and the patio. This would be great for a pool party/entertaining:
To we swimmers who grew up on the smell of chlorine, I can't imagine a better way to fall asleep than this:
 Magical:
In love with ALL of this:
The plants almost in the pool + really creative:

Lagoon or traditional, infinity or landlocked, black bottom or blue bottom, there are TONS of choices. What types of pools do you prefer, barbies?

  3. As I scrolled down my mouse, all I did was mutter “wow” to myself. These swimming pools are just pure heaven! If I were to pick one that can be possibly installed in my home, I would choose a pool with a hot tub. Surely, who could resist soaking in a Jacuzzi after staying in the pool? But my dream would be that infinity pool. =)

  4. Every single one of these pools are divine! If I were to have my own pool, it would either be an indoor pool or an infinity pool. Both pretty awesome, right? Of course, it would be best paired with a great overlooking view!

  5. When it comes to a pool, I have lots of ideas in mind. I really dream of having an infinity pool with a beach area, a waterfall, a hot tub, and with lots of plants around. These photos of pools are just so perfect. I'd love a combination of all of it in my dream pool. -Sunset Pools & Spas

  6. The pool designs are really very nice. It looks very clean and well maintained. Normal users usually face problems to keep their pool clean n safe. By seeing these designs I am sure they will get inspired and will dream of a pool like this. One thing I want to suggest is that give some idea for the construction of these pools. 7. While I love the look of having garden beds right on the edge of the pool, I think that it would be a huge pain to clean out. Infinity pools are my favourite, but I have to say the black bottomed pool and the indoor/outdoor pool look amazing. I guess if I had my way, I’d have to combine those three for the best look!
